I’ve never commented on an episode of this before (though I have enjoyed numerous of them), but I wanted to in this case because I wanted to say James, I think you honestly handled this difficult interview very well. I was honestly getting to the point where I didn’t want to hear any more from Pete until that moment where you actually got kind of cross with him for continually going back to the social media mob victim discussion. While I was personally frustrated listening to Pete’s answers (or what I would argue are non-answers) regarding their COVID policy decision, and I think you did a good job balancing trying to press him on this and get back on track to the actual decision making process and reasoning while still engaging in good faith and giving him a (imo more than) fair opportunity to address the concerns. I personally feel he did not, but you gave him that opportunity and I respect that.
